Meccano Corkscrew

The latest contraption invented by Wayne Meadows is the world's first Meccano corkscrew.

Steam Powered Corkscrew

In 1977, horologist Raymond Saunders built the world's first 20th century steam-powered clock for Vancouver's historic Gastown district.

Corkscrew aficionado Wayne Meadows conceived the notion that Vancouver's historic Kitsilano district should be home to the world's first steam-powered corkscrew, so he has built it.

Several years in the creation, this remarkable contraption pulled its first cork in March, 2014.
